The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice:
Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited registered nursing program with a current unencumbered RN license in Iowa or a Compact State. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
