Performs sample processing and exempt screening tests in compliance with CMS, CLIA '88, and OSHA standards. Responsible for performing venipunctures and preparing blood specimens while assisting technical staff with non-clinical tasks.
Requires a high school diploma or GED, with no prior experience mandatory. Preference is given to candidates with phlebotomy certification and experience in EKGs or clinical laboratory settings.
Overview Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
