- Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists is seeking a detail oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our growing ER Team!

- Potential Schedule: Full time, Weekend day rotation required Compensation: $16 - $20 / hr based on skill set and experience.
- We are a 24/7 Specialty and Emergency hospital staffed with an amazing team of compassionate and experienced veterinarians, highly skilled RVTs and an awesome team of well-trained veterinary assistants.
- New team members are trained through a mentorship program before working independently.
- Applicants must have a positive attitude, be a great communicator and an excellent work ethic with 1-2 years working in surgery preferred, but not required.
- You must be self-motivated and able to think on your feet.
- Veterinary Assistant Duties: Patient assessment, and husbandry Client communication Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority) Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services Providing compassionate care for all patients What Makes VCA Great Lakes Unique?
