Deliver comprehensive human service programs through case management, counseling, and personalized service plans for individuals and families. Coordinate with tribal, local, and federal agencies to support at-risk children and victims of crime while adhering to BIA policies.
Requires a degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field and at least two years of professional experience. A Nevada State license as a Social Worker is required or can substitute for the professional experience requirement.
Ensures minimum competence and training, licensure verifies accredited education, supervised experience, and passing of a standardized exam, which confirms entry-level competence and safe practice. Protects clients and the organization, a license subjects the social worker to a regulatory board, formal standards of conduct, and a code of ethics, giving clients recourse and reducing organizational risk if harm occurs. Meets legal and funding requirements. Many states require a licensure to practice social work. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field and at least two (2) years of professional experience as a social worker, counselor, or treatment specialist; Nevada State license as Social Worker may substitute for prior professional experience; Eligibility for participation in the RSIC Vehicle Insurance Program; Age 21 or older at the time of hire; Office skills, including but not limited to: e-mail, Microsoft Word, EXCEL, fax machine, and telephone; Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
