Hello, we're Reno-Sparks Indian Colony The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony represents descendants of three Great Basin Indigenous peoples: the **Numu (Northern Paiute)**, **Newe (Western Shoshone)**, and **Washeshu (Washoe)**. These communities lived in harmony with the land for generations before European contact, following seasonal cycles and forming small, efficient social groups for survival. Your day to day as a Licensed Social Worker The Licensed Social Worker at Reno-Sparks Indian Colony plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive human service programs to designated individuals and families. This position involves case management, ensuring clients receive tailored referrals, counseling, and personalized service plans that adhere to Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) human service policies and procedures. By assessing client needs and coordinating resources, you will empower individuals and families to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. This role not only emphasizes the importance of problem-solving and integrity but also fosters a collaborative environment that prioritizes the well-being and safety of the community. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating positive outcomes while respecting cultural traditions and values. Would you be a great Licensed Social Worker? To thrive as a Licensed Social Worker with the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, you will need a diverse skill set that encompasses both technical and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel is essential for developing and maintaining accurate client records in accordance with BIA file management systems. Strong interviewing skills will enable you to assess client eligibility and needs effectively, while your ability to create and manage individualized service plans is critical for successful outcomes. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with tribal, local, and federal agencies to coordinate services for at-risk children, families, and victims of crime. Excellent communication, both written and oral, will enhance your interactions with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective reporting. Additionally, possessing a deep understanding of ethical standards and compliance with legal requirements is vital to safeguarding both clients and the organization. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Interview prospective clients to determine eligibility and participation guidelines; Identify and administer a service plan for each client based on intake assessment; Provide individual and/or family services including referral to mental health, educational, financial, employment or counseling programs; Coordinate foster care, adoption or adult custodial services based on evaluation and assessment guidelines; Collaborate with RSIC services to align treatment plans for “at-risk” children, families and victims of crime; Work jointly with tribal, local, state and federal agencies, including the Family Support Team, C.P.T. and M.D.T. entities; Seek technical assistance from B.I.A. as needed; Develop and maintain accurate and confidential client files, records and documents in accordance with BIA file management systems; Review certification of assistance payments administered by federal and tribal programs; Attend meetings with clients, tribal departments, BIA representatives and others as directed or deemed necessary; and Provide monthly and/or quarterly reports as required.

Minimum Qualifications
