Administers respiratory care treatments, procedures, and protocols for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Manages invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation and performs arterial blood gas analysis.
Requires a degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program and CRT certification from the NBRC. Must be licensed in the State of Illinois and obtain RRT credential within 180 days of hire.

We're hiring a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for the Respiratory Care Services department for a Full-Time, Night shift for the University of Chicago Medicine at our main campus in Hyde Park, Chicago, IL.
Our open positions will be supporting either the Adult or Pediatric/Neonatal patient populations. We also have Student opportunities available for individuals currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program.

In this role, the (CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care treatments, procedures, and protocols under the direct supervision of department leadership and physician. Provides for patient assessment to determine cardiopulmonary status, implement appropriate patient care protocols, or to maintain/improve cardiopulmonary hemodynamic status. Initiates and maintains emergent and non-emergent non-invasive ventilation and invasive mechanical ventilation per department policies and protocols.
