This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, person-centered psychiatric care in an integrated, community-based setting. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) and co-occurring conditions and thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and ongoing medication management for adults. Manage complex mental health conditions including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, including long-acting injectables and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), in accordance with best practice standards. Collaborate closely with therapists, case managers, nurses, and primary care providers to ensure integrated, whole-person care. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic health record. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, quality initiatives, and performance improvement activities. Provide education to members and families to promote treatment adherence, recovery, and wellness.
Current and valid RN and APRN license in the State of Arizona. Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain upon hire). Experience in community behavioral health, outpatient psychiatry, or integrated care preferred. Experience treating individuals with SMI and co-occurring disorders strongly preferred. Comfortable managing high-acuity cases and meeting productivity and quality standards.
