The Role: As an RN on 3 Central Acute General Medicine, you will care for adult patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions.
This is a unit where clinical breadth meets supportive structure, allowing you to expand your expertise while working within a highly collaborative care team.
This environment is designed to support nurses with intentional staffing and leadership presence, including a 4:1 patient ratio and a dedicated, floating Charge Nurse every shift to ensure guidance, throughput support, and real-time problem-solving.
In this role, you will: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adults with conditions including: Endocrine disorders Infectious diseases Renal conditions Select cardiology cases Perform ongoing patient assessments, care planning, and clinical interventions in a moderate-to-high acuity setting Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, case managers, and specialists Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, and discharge readiness Utilize evidence-based practice to guide care decisions and improve outcomes What does an average day look like?

Minimum requirements
Education
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience
1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure
Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical demands
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping.
Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs.

The starting base rate for this role is $39.90 hourly.
