The Surgical Technologist serves as an integral part of the perioperative team, ensuring a sterile environment and providing safe care during the intraoperative period. Responsibilities include managing surgical supplies, performing sterilization, and assisting with patient positioning and room turnover.
Candidates must have a certificate or associate degree in Surgical Technology and be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.

The Surgical Technician functions as an integral part of the perioperative team as the first, second or assisting Surgical Technician under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in delivering safe and effective care to the patient during the intraoperative period.
