The Internal Medicine Technician assists specialists with examinations, advanced diagnostics like endoscopy and ultrasound, and the administration of complex treatments. They are responsible for monitoring hospitalized patients, maintaining accurate medical records, and educating clients on home care plans.
A credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) with a preference for at least 2 years of experience in specialty or emergency care. Candidates must possess strong technical skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and excellent communication abilities.

Pinnacle Veterinary Specialists is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Internal Medicine to join our growing specialty and emergency veterinary hospital. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside board-certified specialists while providing exceptional care to complex medical and neurologic patients.
Position Overview The Internal Medicine Technician plays a vital role in patient assessment, advanced diagnostics, treatment administration, client communication, and ongoing patient care. This position is ideal for an experienced veterinary technician who enjoys critical thinking, patient advocacy, and working with advanced medical cases.
Assist Internal Medicine specialists with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments Treat each patient and owner with the highest level of compassion & care Obtain and process laboratory samples Monitor hospitalized patients and recognize changes in patient status Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and advanced therapies Perform and assist with advanced diagnostic procedures including: Endoscopy Ultrasound Provide anesthesia monitoring and recovery support for diagnostic and surgical procedures Maintain detailed and accurate medical records Educate and communicate with clients regarding treatment plans, medications, and home care Collaborate with specialists, emergency clinicians, and support staff to provide exceptional patient care
Pinnacle Veterinary Technicians Working requirements Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) preferred New graduates will be considered Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience preferred Specialty, emergency, critical care, internal medicine, or neurology experience strongly desired Strong technical and venipuncture skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and commitment to patient advocacy Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and electronic) with the team and with customers Fine motor skills adequate for utilizing hospital equipment necessary daily such as syringes, electric clippers, computers, surgery instruments, monitors, diagnostic equipment, etc. Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, work on the floor as well as ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on own and able to support up to 80 lbs. with assistance.
