Job
Summary: Kaitlyn’s Cottage, located on the campus of ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital, provides day, evening and overnight care for people who live with intellectual and physical disabilities. As a Respite Care Worker, you will provide support, guidance, and supervision to the Kaitlyn’s Cottage participants. You will interact with participants, encourage their independence, and engage them in activities. You will prepare and share meals in a family-style setting and involve the participants in meal prep, conversation, and clean-up. In this role, you will follow protocols to ensure participants’ health and safety, including mealtime guidelines and medical administration.
