The Speech Pathologist is responsible for the prevention, identification, and treatment of human communication and oral-pharyngeal disorders. They must assess patients, determine illness acuity, and implement comprehensive treatment programs.
Candidates must hold a current Florida Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license. BLS certification and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) are preferred.
The Speech Pathologist is responsible for applying principles, methods, and procedures for the prevention, identification, evaluation, treatment, consultation, habilitation, rehabilitation, instruction, and research, relative to the development and disorders of human communication; to related oral and pharyngeal competencies; and to behavior related to disorders of human communication. The Speech Pathologist shall assume the responsibility for assessing the patient, identifying the level of acuity of illness, planning the patient’s treatment program, and implementing and directing the program.
• Prefer Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
