Assists the surgical team in the operating room while adhering to safety and infection control standards. Participates in quality improvement activities and provides customer-focused care under the direction of nursing leadership.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Program. Certification from the National Association of Certified Surgical Technology is preferred.
Performs a variety of duties in the operating room area to assist the surgical team. Participates in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities. Complies with all appropriate safety and infection control standards. Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer focused manner according to the Hurley Family Standards of Behavior.Works under the direction of a Nurse Manager or registered professional nurse.
