You will primarily diagnose and treat dogs and cats. Daily responsibilities will include performing surgeries and dental procedures, treating illness/injury and urgent care cases, performing wellness exams, prescribing medications, and spaying/neutering. We do a large volume of wellness visits, have a wonderful trained support team, and awesome clientele. If you are passionate about providing exceptional animal care, we’d like to meet you. Our recently remodeled clinic is complete with digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house Heska lab, surgical suite, large treatment area, and an awesome staff.

Responsibilities

Provide routine examinations Diagnose illnesses and injuries and recommend treatment Perform surgeries including dental, ophthalmic, and soft tissue Administer vaccinations Perform spay and neuter surgeries Prescribe medication Advise pet owners on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and overall pet well-being Ability to document accurate client records in a timely fashion

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, licensed in Minnesota or ability to obtain Previous work experience as a veterinarian Knowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia procedures Skilled and comfortable with soft tissue and dental surgical procedures Strong, motivated team work ethic and positive communication skills Ability to explain complex medical concepts in simple terms for our clients Problem-solving skills Weekday shifts available, can be flexible: Mondays and Fridays 8-5, and/or Tuesday and Thursdays 8-2, or 2-8. No on-call, no weekends Patience and a love for animals

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and be licensed to practice in Minnesota. Previous experience as a veterinarian and proficiency in surgical procedures and medical equipment are required.
