The technician is responsible for retrieving, cleaning, sterilizing, and distributing medical devices and equipment used in patient care. This includes performing quality checks on instruments and preparing case carts for the Operating Room.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and SPD certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire. Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing carts up to 200 pounds.
