The Occupational Therapist is responsible for conducting initial evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing skilled therapy to patients in their homes. They must collaborate with physicians and families to improve patient function and document all progress and discharge summaries.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy curriculum and hold a current license in the State of Texas. Preference is given to those with two years of home health experience and proficiency in Kinnser/WellSky software.

All About Home Care is looking for a reliable and professional Occupational Therapist (OT) who is skilled in providing therapy in patients’ homes. We pride ourselves on hiring professionals who understand the unique dynamics of Home Health care.
Qualification Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and/or certified by successfully completing the national Certification examination Currently licensed in the State of Texas Two years of experience in Home Health preferred 1 year experience using Kinnser/WellSky for home health
OT takes initial history and make initial evaluation Assists the physician in evaluating level of function Improves or minimizes residual physical disabilities of the patient Returns the individual to optimum and productive living within the patient’s capabilities Provides prescribed occupational therapy Directs and supervises personnel as required Performs all skilled procedures Consults with physicians regarding change in treatment Writes reports to physicians regarding patient’s progress Instructs patient/family members in home programs and fine motor development exercises An initial evaluation, including plan of treatment and goals, must be filled out and submitted to the physician for approval. A progress note is written each visit. A re-evaluation is conducted when expected duration of treatment is reached. A summary is written upon patient’s discharge. Helps develop the plan of care and revises as necessary Prepares clinical and progress notes Advises and consults with the family and other Agency personnel Periodically participates with all other health care personnel in patient care planning Participates in in-service program
