Patient Care Tech - ER Full Time, Third Shift Provides general nursing care assistance to patients, with consideration for the unique needs of pediatric and geriatric populations as appropriate. Assists in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment. Patient Care Technicians perform duties under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, and in addition performs general stocking duties as needed to support unit operations. Job Duties: Patient hygiene, routine vital signs, routine care. Documentation of patient care in EMR based on scope of practice. Phlebotomy and various other lab collections. Placement of appropriate monitoring equipment. Performs 12 Lead ECG. Coordinates transport of patients as needed.
High School Diploma/GED Must obtain Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire Preferred Requirements: Successful completion of an Approved Aide Training Program is preferred Previous phlebotomy/point of care testing is preferred One year of previous experience in a healthcare setting providing patient care preferred
