Administers Physical Therapy treatments per MD referral and in accordance with NYS practice act. Performs comprehensive evaluations. Develops appropriate treatment plans with realistic, functional goals. Observes patients' response to treatment physically and psychologically and adjusts the treatment plan accordingly. Educates nursing and other hospital staff regarding posture, body mechanics and transfer techniques as needed.
BS, MS or DPT degree in Physical Therapy from accredited PT program Current NYS Physical Therapist license required BLS required New grads considered if clinical affiliations have included acute care setting and/or inpatient rehab setting. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
