Job Description

Cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing dental instruments to keep them ready for use and uphold the highest standards of care. 1. Maintains familiarity with and follows OSHA standards. 2. Ensures instruments are sterilized as soon as feasible when received into central sterilization. 3. Maintains the cleanliness and order of all areas of sterilization. 4. Keeps accurate logs of spore testing. 5. Uses the system to monitor and track instruments through sterilization. 6. Keeps the Lead Sterilization Tech apprised of any issues or concerns with equipment, supplies or procedures related to sterilization. 7. Meets the needs and special requests of the providers about instruments and handpieces. 8. Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a team to facilitate the Dental Center's ability to meet goals and objectives Skills sterile processing, inventory

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience required Familiar with keeping instruments sorted and stored correctly Prioritizing tasks to meet surgical or procedural schedule Managing multiple responsibilities efficiently Understanding of infection control protocols Familiarity with medical and dental instruments Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of St. Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
