• The laboratory of Dr.
• Linda Malkas develops targeted anticancer therapeutics that inhibit a cancer-associated form of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA).
• Using cancer cell line models, our team investigates the cellular mechanisms of these agents and evaluates synergistic drug combinations designed to improve therapeutic efficacy.
• We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Research Associate to support laboratory operations, maintain key research resources, and contribute to ongoing studies evaluating anticancer drug activity across multiple cell lines.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• As a successful candidate you will: · Maintain mammalian cell cultures and evaluate cellular responses to anticancer drug treatments · Support shared laboratory spaces, including stocking 70%25 ethanol bottles and decontaminating liquid waste in the biosafety cabinet room · Manage chemical inventory, freezer organization, and cryogenic cell stock records · Perform routine laboratory safety checks, including weekly eye wash station inspections · Assist laboratory members with experiments and ongoing research projects as needed · Analyze data, perform statistical analyses, prepare reports, maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, and present findings at lab meetings

Your qualifications should include

• · Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences with 0-2 years of research/laboratory experience · Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately · Prior laboratory experience with cell culture, molecular biology techniques, or data analysis is preferred but not required
