The Laboratory Assistant handles the receipt, registration, and labeling of high volumes of specimens while managing patient information and telephone calls. They are also responsible for performing preventative maintenance on departmental instruments and assisting with specimen handling during biopsy procedures.
A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position. Candidates must possess strong organizational, communication, and computer skills, along with a basic understanding of medical terminology.
