About the role

Perform CT, X-ray, and Ultrasound examinations to obtain diagnostic information for patients. Manage associated clerical duties including the use of RPMS, EHR, and PACS systems while ensuring quality control of imagery.

Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Radiology Technician in support of the Blackfeet Community Hospital (BFSU) in Browning, Montana. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position. BFSU hours are 365 days a year, 7 days a week, and 24 hours a day. CT, Xray and Ultrasound service shift times and schedules are to be provided on an as-needed basis and are subject to change based on the medical needs of the patient population and hospital/clinic operations. W2 - $35.24-45/hr 1099 - $60-65/hr

Responsibilities

Perform CT, Xray and Ultrasound Services examinations as deemed necessary to obtain all possible Information related to each requested examination. This is inclusive of all clerical duties involved. (RPMS, EHR, and PACS systems) All quality control of patient demographics and imagery performed is the responsibility of the technologist. Perform a range of computed tomography examinations for use in clinical diagnosis, including patient screening and monitoring, patient therapy, and status. Perform Computed Tomography examinations. Complete medical and other required records for patients in a timely fashion. Complete Chart notes on the day services are rendered. Work beyond the scheduled cover hours in emergency cases. Medical imaging services may be on-site or on-call services. Perform other assignments, as determined by the Radiology Department Supervisor.

Qualifications

Academic degree from an accredited Radiology Educational Program. Minimum one (1) year of experience in Computer Tomography Licensure Current ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Computerized Tomography (CT) Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Image Gently and Image Wisely certification/training Undergo IHS mandated security clearance. Attend orientation. Provide immunization records as proof of immunity or disease before the performance of work. Complete BFSU mandatory training monthly or as needed. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficient with E-mail and patient data entry Professional appearance and in Services Unit dress code Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness when providing care to Native American Indian patients. Ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently and communicate with clarity Proficient with MS Office Suite Excellent written and oral communication skills

Requirements

Requires a degree from an accredited Radiology Educational Program and at least one year of experience in Computer Tomography. Must hold current ARRT certification in CT, BLS certification, and Image Gently/Wisely training.
