Coordinates comprehensive care for cancer patients by acting as a clinical liaison between patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Manages patient symptoms, facilitates education on treatments, and coordinates discharge planning and tumor conferences.
Requires a BSN from an accredited school and current nursing licenses for both Illinois and Indiana. Must have at least two years of hematology/oncology clinical nursing experience and BLS certification.

UChicago Medicine is an integrated academic and community health system with multiple primary medical facilities within the surrounding suburbs of Chicago. UChicago Medicine, Crown Point is a new two-story, 130,000-square-foot multispecialty care center and micro-hospital in Northwest Indiana for what will be the academic health system's largest off-site facility and its first freestanding building in Indiana.
The Nurse Navigator, under the Under the direction of a faculty sponsor and in collaboration with the program support team, coordinates the care of patients through the disease process. Acts as a clinical liaison for patients, across medical services and clinical departments. Assesses clinical, emotional, spiritual, psychosocial, financial, and other patient needs. Evaluates and manages patient symptoms before during and after treatment.

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
