Overview Registered Nurse – ICU travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date July 6, 2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.

Shift

night shift, 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Block Scheduling is never promised or guaranteed. This assignment places you in an ICU unit within a hospital setting, with a 42-bed configuration spanning Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surg/Trauma; weekly pay ranges from $2,347 to $2,375.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct bedside nursing care for critically ill adults in the ICU, following physician orders and unit protocols
  • Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs and laboratory data, manage hemodynamics, and respond to changes in condition
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and complex treatments, including CRRT (Prismaflex) as applicable
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MDs, RNs, RTs, pharmacists, case management) and document all care in the EMR (EPIC)
  • Manage neuro-critical and trauma patients as described in unit protocols; assist with ICP monitoring, ventriculostomy care, and other neuromonitoring activities
  • Operate and monitor specialty equipment (IABP, CRRT, ventilators, TTM) and participate in patient transport and procedure support as needed
  • Float to related ICU units as needed; maintain patient safety, infection control, and adherence to trauma/Stroke/Sepsis pathways

Requirements

  • Licensure: Active New York RN license with NURSYS verification; all active RN licenses
  • Experience: 2+ years of ICU experience required; 4–5 years preferred; travel experience required
  • Certifications: Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
  • EMR: EPIC experience required
  • Additional: Driver’s license with address that matches demographics
  • Documentation: Up-to-date resume including 2+ years ICU experience and travel experience; must include RTO requirements at time of submission
