Overview Registered Nurse – Hospice (Travel) This 13-week travel assignment begins on 07/20/2026. The role offers a weekly pay range of $2,029–$2,098 with a 5x8 day shift (0830–1700, Monday–Friday) and on-call coverage. The position supports pain and symptom management, care planning, and family education in an inpatient hospice care environment. On-call requirements include one full week per month, with weeknights from 1700–0830 and weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and administer medications and treatments to alleviate pain and symptoms and maximize comfort.
  • Develop and update individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians, social workers, and other team members.
  • Educate family caregivers on disease progression, what to expect, and medication management.
  • Respond quickly to sudden changes in a patient’s condition to provide crisis intervention and maintain patient comfort.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient documentation and facilitate clear communication among the care team.
  • Provide compassionate emotional and spiritual support to patients and grieving relatives, including grief counseling as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Michigan
  • BLS (American Heart Association) certification
  • Minimum 2 years hospice experience (required)
  • Ability to work in an inpatient hospice environment
  • Availability for on-call rotation (one full week per month)
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
