Position Summary

Under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant supports patient/resident well-being, rehabilitation and recovery. Screens and treats patients/residents, documents services and communicates with families and interdisciplinary team members while facilitating optimization of patient/resident participation in activities of daily living. USD $31.00 - USD $32.00 /Hr. Wage Commensuration The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide professional Occupational Therapy services. Completes documentation accurately and timely. Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives. Works efficiently and effectively whole utilizing facility resources responsibly. Maintains adequate and up to date knowledge of Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Services and setting specific clinical and regulatory practices. Complies with all facility policies and procedures. Qualifications & Requirements Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Must have one year experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred) Must have current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in facility-specific state Must have current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Must have current certification in Basic Life Support. Reliable transportation required

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program with at least one year of experience, preferably in geriatric rehabilitation. Required credentials include a state license, NBCOT certification, and Basic Life Support certification.
