Location: Jamestown, ND Shift: Monday- Friday (8am - 5pm) Job Schedule: Full Time Weekly Hours: 40 JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is to perform specific pediatric occupational therapy duties under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
The COTA administers modalities, exercise, client education and other treatments to achieve client goals and outcomes, as determined by the OT.
The COTA responds to inquiries regarding client status to appropriate parties within the protocol established by OT.
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements) Education and/or years’ experience required: Applied Associates of Science degree from an AOTA accredited school for COTA’s Current North Dakota licensure as a certified occupational therapist assistant; or eligibility and evidence of application for licensure.
Preferred Skills and Abilities: Two years’ experience in the areas of pediatrics, young adults, adults, and/or developmental disabilities is desired, but not necessary.
Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable): This position does not have any regular supervisory responsibilities.
