About the role

The role involves processing patient orders and charges, maintaining medical records, and managing unit supplies. Additionally, the position provides direct patient care and supports administrative functions within the Operating Room.

OVERVIEW Prepares records, processes orders and provides patient care in the hospital setting, supporting the nursing philosophy. May include weekends, holidays, day, evening, night, and/or on-call hours. Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, No holidays and weekends.

Shift

flex 8-hour shift between 5:30am and 5pm.

  • Range: $18.65-27.04 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Processes orders and patient charges in an accurate and timely manner. Answers the telephone and call lights in an appropriate and timely manner, providing information or relaying messages to patients and staff. Directs visitors to patients' rooms. Maintains medical records of current patients. Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking, and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies. Provides patient care as assigned and per routine, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures according to CNA job duties and expectations Documents care provided according to standards. Maintains a clean work and patient environment. Floats to various units based on identified needs. Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities. Verifies accuracy of charges entered Facilitates a welcoming environment assisting with visitor wayfinding. Assemble patient folders and charts for unit Rauland responder/Vocera/versus set up for new staff EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Completion of a CNA program. Advanced CNA program preferred. Completion of a Unit Clerk course or equivalent on the job training (which can be provided). CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE Nursing Assistant Certification in applicable state. Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days. Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time, ready to accept assignment. Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to leadership direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan LEVEL OF SUPERVISION Responsibilities include interviewing, and training CNAs; planning, assigning, and directing work.

Requirements

Candidates must have completed a CNA program and hold a valid Nursing Assistant Certification in the applicable state. CPR or BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
