About the role

The LPN performs patient care duties, including taking vital signs and assisting physicians with procedures and minor surgeries. Responsibilities also include maintaining medical records, stocking supplies, and performing sterilization tasks.

Job Details Kettering Health Dayton l Dayton l Part-time l Days Responsibilities & Requirements The LPN performs a wide variety of patient care duties in preparation for the physician consultation.

Physician assistance in delivery of special patient needs and procedures, including minor surgery.

The LPN is responsible for: Takes blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration Assists patients any time need is apparent or as directed by physician Keeps medical records in accordance to procedures and forms Keeps rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies Prepares sterilization as required Any other duties relating to the business operation of the medical practice that may be assigned by the physician(s) or practice office manager.

Job Requirements: Completed accredited program that meets nationally accepted standards Current LPN license in the State of Ohio Current CPR certification Experience in medical environment Willingness to accept orders and perform repetitive tasks Ability to communicate and relate well with office staff, ancillary departments and public, follow direction, accept orders and perform repetitive tasks, be patient, courteous and tactful.

Able to work under time constraints, multi-task, and work autonomously with little direction.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Position requires you to be on call during the week and every 3rd weekend.
  • Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital
  • Looking for someone who can be flexible in scheduling (some weeks 3 days while others may need 4 days)
  • Will be trained in areas of the unit including pre op, post op, GI tech and scope washing Overview Kettering Health is a not-for-profit system of 14 medical centers and more than 120 outpatient facilities serving southwest Ohio. Requirements

Candidates must have a current Ohio LPN license, CPR certification, and completion of an accredited LPN program. Flexibility for on-call duties and living within 30 minutes of the hospital is preferred.
