Provide and document professional nursing care for telemetry and stroke patients following medical plans and established policies. Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals and adhere to NIAHO standards for Primary Stroke Centers.
Utilizing the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation and Evaluation) provides and documents professional nursing care to telemetry and stroke patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work.
Coordinates and delegates the care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel.
Communicates findings as indicated to appropriate person(s).
Must adhere to (meet) the requirements for educational hours as outlined in the NIAHO standards for Primary Stroke Center.
Performs any other job related duties as requested by Nurse Manager or Director.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina. ADN degree. BLS certified. ACLS within 1 year. Basic and Advanced Arrhythmia within 1 year. NIHHS Certificate within 1 year. Complete arrythmia course within 30 days of hire.
Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in South Carolina with an ADN degree. Required certifications include BLS, with ACLS, NIHSS, and Arrhythmia certifications obtained within one year.
