The professional nurse on the Surgical Tower Unit uses the nursing process to plan, implement, evaluate and document patient care.
The professional nurse considers the patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, language barriers, age, teaching needs, and readiness to learn.
The professional nurse demonstrates knowledge of EKG monitoring and treatment of hypotension and dysrhythmias.
The professional nurse demonstrates knowledge of commonly used medications and possesses skill in calculating medications and fluid dosages.
The professional nurse follows the hospital chest pain protocol.
The professional nurse demonstrates knowledge of physiologic changes and common complications associated with specific disease states.
