Responsible for obtaining diagnostic quality radiographic and mammogram images according to pre-established guidelines. Schedules and observes time-management techniques according to departmental productivity and efficiency standards while observing a quality patient care experience. Education Requirements:
Graduate of a radiographer program.
completion of eight (8) hours of digital mammographer training
forty (40) hours of training in mammography
performance of twenty-five (25) mammograms under direct supervision of MQSA qualified individual. Experience Requirements:
One (1) year of clinical Radiation Technology experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Licensure in Medical Radiation with the state of Mississippi is required. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology. BLS Certification is required.
Requires graduation from a radiographer program, specific mammography training, and BLS certification. Must hold a Mississippi state license in Medical Radiation and ARRT registration in Radiology.
