Job Description: Summary:
To provide physical or corrective treatment of any musculoskeletal, skin, or neurological condition by use of physical, chemical, heat, light, water, sound, massage, and active, passive, and resistive exercise, and shall include physical therapy evaluation, treatment planning and modification, instruction and consultative services.
• B.A. or B.S. degree with completion of course work in a school or schools approved by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee so as to qualify for licensure by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs
• One year as a licensed Physical Therapist in acute care hospital setting or equivalent preferred. A new graduate is acceptable unless a specific number of years experience is required at the time of hire due to the needs of the department
Employee in this position most be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care and/or service based on the physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her service group.
