Follow @abbvie on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube.Job DescriptionOperating and maintaining instruments for hematology, clinical chemistry, coagulation, and urinalysisInterpreting and troubleshooting quality control results to ensure accurate and precise test resultsPerforming preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of laboratory instrumentationFollowing all policies, procedures and guidelines necessary for Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulatory compliance and in accordance with CLIA and CLSIUsing a validated computer system to receive and process orders, and provide test results Participating in CAP proficiency surveysDeveloping and updating standard operating procedures (SOP)sDesigning and implementing procedures for instrument qualification and method validation Completing all mandatory internal training and following implemented health and safety requirementsCompleting additional training to develop competency in new methods as they are implementedStanding, sitting, lifting up to 40lbs (on occasion), pipetting and other general lab tasksQualificationsRelevant laboratory experience and knowledge demonstrated through:B.S./B.A. in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related field, with 3-5 years of relevant experienceMLS (ASCP), or AMT certification is strongly preferredPreferable: Ideally greater than 3 years of experience within a clinical pathology laboratory within a pharmaceutical company, CRO, hospital or diagnostic company.

Knowledge of laboratory informatics systems, flow cytometry or plate based assays.
