Discharge Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health Setting

Responsibilities

• Discharge Nurse full-time, M-F 9am-5pm Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital, located near beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC, treats adolescents, adults and senior adults in need of psychiatric services, as well as adults who suffer from a chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, or are in need of rehabilitation.
• Lighthouse offers 24-hour admissions, needs assessment, and referral services.
• The Discharge Nurse provides professional nursing care in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lighthouse Behavioral Health System.
• The Discharge Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice, as coordinated by the Director of Nursing and Director of Clinical Services.
• The primary duties of the Discharge Nurse are to assist in discharge flow process on all units.
• Discharge nurse will walk patient through discharge process, i.e paperwork, financial paperwork, followup care, appointments etc.

Qualifications

2 - 3 years of Nursing experience preferred. Current license in good standing in the State of South Carolina as a Registered Nurse. Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.
