One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our NeuroICU Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care so they can begin their journey to recovery and healing.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise in our fast-paced, 20-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, the region's leader in neurovascular care, to treat a high volume of patients with a diverse range of neurological conditions.

You will perform comprehensive neuro assessments and interventions, making critical decisions and meticulously implementing patient care plans, while a dedicated Neuro Critical Care Nurse provides 24/7 support for stroke alerts and transfers.

You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team of neurologists, neurosurgeons, neurointerventional radiologists, and neurocritical care specialists, all working together to deliver exceptional, personalized care.

Assessment

Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.

Care of

Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.

Clinical/Technical

Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.

Documentation

Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.

Leadership

  • Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.
  • Precepting/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments. We are offering a $15,000 sign-on bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
