AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) to provide direct patient care at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC). The CNA will work under the supervision of nursing staff to assist with activities of daily living, patient observation, and basic clinical duties while ensuring patient safety and comfort in compliance with established protocols and Joint Commission (JC) guidelines.
Perform all tasks within the scope of CNA practice and as per WRNMMC and JC guidelines. Support the healthcare team and patients across all age groups: infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of medical equipment. Specific Duties:
Current CPR certification. Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
Valid, unrestricted CNA license from any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth. Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in assisting patients of all ages with daily care needs. Familiarity with healthcare terminology and ability to use clinical equipment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in fast-paced hospital environments. Skilled in maintaining electronic medical records.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of an accredited medical assisting program, and a valid unrestricted CNA license. Candidates must have at least three years of clinical experience and current BLS and CPR certifications.
