Practice for this role

About the role

Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations and manage a broad range of conditions including Parkinson's, dementia, and stroke. Collaborate with the supervising physician to implement treatment plans and support the long-term growth and expansion of the practice.

In a world of noise, we find the signal — the pulse of potential.

We weave the strands of talent, vision, and purpose into organizations that endure.

Blending intelligence with intuition, we honor the human art of connection at the heart of every great company.

About the Job We are partnered with a confidential neurology practice in the Greater Los Angeles area on the search for a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant.

Led by one of LA's most respected neurologists, this practice is known for delivering compassionate, patient-centered neurologic care to a diverse patient population.

The practice is growing - and this is an opportunity to join at a pivotal moment.

The founding physician is looking for a PA who will become a trusted clinical partner, contribute meaningfully to patient care, and grow alongside the practice as it expands to additional locations over time.

This is a role for a clinician who brings strong neurological expertise, a genuine passion for patient outcomes, and the drive to be part of something bigger than a single practice.

The Mandate The physician is looking for a Physician Assistant who is clinically sharp, deeply committed to patient care, and ready to hit the ground running in a neurology-focused environment.

He is not looking for a generalist who will need significant ramp time on neurological conditions.

He is not looking for someone content to stay in a lane indefinitely.

He is seeking a neurology-fluent clinician who can work autonomously, communicate with clarity and empathy, and grow into an increasingly influential clinical role as the practice scales.

Long-term, this PA will have the opportunity to be part of the physician's vision to open additional practice locations across the region.

Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations, including patient history, physical and neurological exams, and diagnostic assessments Diagnose and manage a broad range of neurological conditions including headaches, migraines, Parkinson's disease, dementia, stroke, neuropathic pain, tremors, and brain injury Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician Order and interpret diagnostic studies Prescribe and manage medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment as needed Provide patient and family education on neurological conditions, treatment options, and long-term management Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation in the EHR Collaborate closely with the supervising physician on complex cases and contribute to ongoing quality of care initiatives Participate in the long-term growth of the practice, including involvement in the development of new locations Ideal Profile Current PA license in the state of California and NCCPA certification in good standing Strong neurology background - prior experience in a neurology practice, neurology department, or related specialty is required Clinical proficiency across common neurological conditions including headache, movement disorders, cognitive decline, stroke, and neuropathic pain Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced outpatient setting while maintaining a high standard of care Exceptional bedside manner with a patient-first mindset and the ability to communicate complex diagnoses with clarity and compassion Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits and EHR proficiency Collaborative by nature - eager to learn from and work closely with a highly experienced supervising physician Long-term thinker with an interest in contributing to practice growth and expansion over time Location & Work Model South Gate, Los Angeles, CA Full-time, on-site Compensation Base salary: $140,000.00 - $225,000.00, commensurate with experience Bonus: To be discussed Base Compensation Range $140,000—$225,000 USD Equal Opportunity & Non-Discrimination Statement Signal and Strand is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Market context

California neurology PAs are in steady demand

California outpatient neurology practices often look for physician assistants who can manage common neurological conditions independently and hold current state licensure and NCCPA certification. This role is competitive because employers want candidates with strong neurology experience, autonomy in clinic, and the ability to support access in a specialty where patient volume can be high. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits on this platform, then confirm your California PA license status and prepare examples of outpatient neurology cases you have managed.
