Job Summary and Responsibilities While this position provides virtual cardiac monitoring services to the patients of CommonSpirit Health across the United States this position must work on-site at our Phoenix AZ Virtual Hospital located at 3033 N.

3rd Avenue.

As a Cardio-Pulmonary Technician Level I (lower level patient acuity) you are responsible for performing remote surveillance of cardiac rhytms for multiple locations, specific to cardio-pulmonary rhythms via a central monitoring station, and for recognizing, recording and reporting potentially dangerous rhythm changes and arrhythmias following established standards and procedures per applicable regulatory requirements.

Work is primarily performed in a centralized monitoring unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Each Technician can potentially watch up to 60 patients due to the highly advanced IT technology capabilities.

Monitors patient’s cardiac rhythms and/or oxygen saturation using appropriate cardio-pulmonary monitoring equipment; Obtains a baseline ECG strip on all monitored patients according to department guidelines; Records and posts cardiac strips following established procedures.

Updates and verifies patient data in the information system; maintains unit/department-specific records as assigned.

Recognizes rhythms with the potential to alter the patient’s physiology and obtains a documentary ECG strip; Immediately reports all arrhythmias to the RN responsible for the patient following established protocols.

Job Requirements Required Three months of post-secondary education/training in regard to EKG technology as a monitor tech AND Minimum 2 years of recent (within past year) professional work experience of any type., Successful completion of a Basic EKG test is required within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Other Graduation from the following accredited program, including EKG Interpretation Monitor Technician
