About the role

The Social Worker assesses patients to plan interventions for social, emotional, and economic problems while coordinating internal and external services. They are also responsible for discharge planning, providing therapy, and supervising new staff or interns.

How you’ll contribute The Social Worker assesses, and plans interventions to help patients cope with social, emotional, economic, and environmental problems.

Interviews and assesses patients and/or patient's family, caregivers, and/or legal representatives.

Determines, prioritizes, provides and/or arranges for needed internal and external services/interventions.

Participates in case reviews to evaluate case management and progress.

Consults with healthcare team members to promote, monitor, and evaluate compliance with patient's treatment plan.

Assists with discharge planning and processes.

Identifies appropriate resources, including transportation, housing, healthcare, and social/spiritual services, and provides referrals as part of the discharge plan.

Supervises and/or trains new staff, students, and interns.

Provides individual, family and group therapy.

Qualifications and requirements Masters required Board Certified Social Worker, or related field (i.e. counseling) in the state of Arkansas (CSW, LPCA, LCSW) within 6 months of hire Handle With Care within 30 days of hire.

Requirements

A Master's degree is required, and candidates must obtain Board Certification (CSW, LPCA, or LCSW) in Arkansas within six months of hire. Additionally, the Handle With Care certification must be completed within 30 days of hire.
