About the role

The Admission Clinician performs telephonic and in-person risk assessments and crisis interventions to facilitate the patient intake process. They coordinate with referral sources and provide clinical assessments to assist physicians and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

  • Admission Clinician Opportunity We are hiring two full-time Admission Clinicians, one will be primarily evening shift of 3p-11p, the other primarily night shift of 11p-7a, both positions with rotating weekends and holidays.
  • The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Centre Hall, PA.
  • The Meadows features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, and has been providing, comprehensive services to patients for over 35 years.
  • The Meadows is seeking an Intake/Admissions Clinician to join our Admissions Department.

  • The Intake Clinician also assists the Physician and Intake RN by providing face to face clinical assessments, including the history of presenting illness, family dynamics and supporting psychosocial information.

Qualifications

Requirements

Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Human Services field required. Work experience in a hospital setting preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook.
