Established in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is a multi-site mission-driven non-profit organization employing over 700 staff whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to residents throughout the Merrimack Valley. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.
GLFHC is currently seeking a Pharmacist. The Pharmacist reviews and interprets prescriptions, fills and accurately dispenses medication, while maintaining efficient workflow to provide timely delivery. Maintains inventories and record keeping for narcotics and similar drugs.
Must be able to don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Reviews and approves prescriptions to be filled by pharmacy technicians according to State Board of Pharmacy regulations. Works with pharmacy technicians to perform the ‘final check’ of filled prescriptions to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
Works with patient medical information to conduct Drug Utilization Review on all prescriptions and reviews clinical edits to ensure there is no adverse drug reaction.
Works in reconciling Controlled Substances Logs with inventory on hand and prescriptions dispensed to comply with state and federal regulations.
Provides clinical expertise by responding to drug-related questions.
Familiarity with order processing, inventory, Database software, prescription verification, billing and adjudication software.
Safely administer and accurately document immunizations and medications.

Candidates must be registered pharmacists in the State of Massachusetts with one to three years of experience and current BLS certification. A valid driver's license and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish are required.
