Responsibilities

Actively participates in patient care, notifying the supervising Physical Therapist of matters concerning the patient's condition.Follows the Plan of Care established by the Physical Therapist and practices within state practice guidelines.Exercises sound judgement, care, professionalism and skill in the performance of duties.Instructs and counsels patients effectively in exercises and recovery.Identifies patient’s needs and exhibits compassion and caring.Conveys potential modifications ensuring patient’s progress, safety and comfort to the Physical Therapist.Completes documentation in the EMR to support the delivery of physical therapy servicesUnder direct supervision of and with co-signature by a PT, records daily notes.Provides information to patients by answering questions and requests.Helps treat patients by applying ice or heat packs, helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion; tracking walking time and distance; performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques as requested by PT.Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Enhances physical therapy department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments, is a team player.Reports any issues needing resolution to Physical Therapists.Success Looks Like:A-Game Attitude: Each day in the clinic you showcase a desire to connect with people with positive, approachable attitudeCoachability: Be able to take constructive feedback and turn it into actionable itemsPatient Satisfaction & Outcomes: Ensure that each patient leaves feeling happy and healthy with the ability to exceed their functional goalsAll levels of experience are encouraged to apply and will train the right new graduate.QualificationsPTA, Licensed to practice in the State of New YorkHands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training and physical modalitiesAbility to communicate and instruct effectivelyAbility to delegate appropriate support care to non-licensed staff and serve as a resource in their training.Additional InformationWhat We Offer!Competitive compensation package401(k) plan with company matching optionsIncentive ProgramGenerous Paid Time OffA rich benefits package, including medical, dental, life and long-term disability insuranceLoan Repayment program- up to $5,000 per yearProgressive Leadership Development ProgramsUp to a $1,500 CEU stipend per year, plus all expenses paid for any specialty certifications towards Schroth, Pelvic Floor, OCS, PCS, NGS or WCSAccess to unlimited online CEU’s through our partnership with MedBridge EducationNew York's 529 College Savings ProgramEmployee Perks: discounted rates for entertainment, travel, fitness, insurance plans, etc. through our partnership with Plum BenefitsFSA Plans- pre tax savings plans to pay for unreimbursed medical and dental expenses, travel to & from workCompany Events- Annual Family Field Day, Leadership Retreats, and Holiday Awards CelebrationAnd much more!The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $31-$40. Requirements

Candidates must be a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of New York. Experience with therapeutic exercises and functional training is required, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
