As a Locum MD, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional surgical services, addressing patient needs, and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals. Perform a range of surgical procedures in a safe and efficient manner Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments Monitor and manage post-operative recovery and complications Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding surgical options Maintain accurate and thorough medical records Stay current with best practices in general surgery and medical care Participate in hospital surgical meetings and case discussions
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution Current medical license to practice in the applicable state Minimum of 2 years of experience in general surgery Strong surgical skills and familiarity with various surgical procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient care and ethical practice in surgery Able to provide weekend availability as required
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
Daily Volume: 5 patients
Duties: Rounding, ER call, and consults
Support Staff: RNs, ER team
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified
