As a Locum MD in Hematology Oncology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers. Your expertise will contribute to advancing treatment protocols and enhancing patient outcomes in our healthcare facility. Responsibilities

Conduct patient examinations and assessments to diagnose hematological and oncological conditions Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for patients Perform therapeutic procedures as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in hematology oncology Participate in continuing education and professional development activities

Requirements

MD degree from an accredited medical school Completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Hematology Oncology Valid medical license to practice in the state of Petersburg Strong knowledge of hematological disorders and cancer treatment protocols Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment Professional demeanor and commitment to patient care

Schedule: 8-hour day shifts

No call required

Setting: Primarily outpatient, some inpatient available

Daily Volume: 15-18 patients

Patient Population: Adults only

Case Types: 60% medical oncology and 40% hematology oncology

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

DEA required

Paid travel & expenses
