Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult Med Surg patients, including frequent assessments and monitoring
• Administer medications, manage IVs, wound care, and routine therapies per physician orders
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition; implement appropriate interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR; communicate with multidisciplinary team
• Support patient and family education; coordinate safe patient transfers and mobility
• Float between medical floor and surgical/oncology units as required; uphold patient safety and care standards
• Adhere to unit protocols, infection control practices, and RN-to-patient ratios (1:5–6)

Requirements

• Active RN license (current, in good standing)
• Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience; prior travel experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic EMR or similar electronic charting system
• Ability to float between medical floor and surgical/oncology units
• Willingness to work in Helena, MT area and comply with travel assignment policies (including the 200-mile radius rule)
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
