The Radiation Therapist accurately runs CT simulators and delivers, verifies, and records routine courses of radiation treatment. They are responsible for machine warm-ups and communicating effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Scope of work
Under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, uses clinical skills to accurately run CT simulators, deliver, verify and record routine courses of treatment. Assumes shift accountability including machine warm-ups. Utilizes independent judgment and problem solving skills in communicating with patients/families and employees.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program and hold a CRT-ARRT certification within 60 days. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 90 days of employment.
