Are you a student or aspiring behavioral health professional looking to gain meaningful, real-world experience? Join our Adult Recovery team as a Volunteer and support individuals on their journey toward healing and recovery.

This opportunity provides hands-on exposure to behavioral health services through structured observation, participation, and guided support activities—all under the supervision of experienced professionals.

As a volunteer, you’ll contribute to a supportive treatment environment while building valuable skills and insight into mental health and substance use care.

  • Maintain professionalism, ethical conduct, and client confidentiality at all times
  • Observe and support daily client activities within the treatment environment

  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, or team discussions as appropriate
  • Support a safe, structured, and positive environment for clients
  • Serve as a positive and respectful role model to individuals in recovery
  • Assist with general program support tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Current student or interest in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field strongly preferred
  • Additional skills & attributes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn
  • Interest in behavioral health, substance use recovery, or human services
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard software
