Candidates must be proficient in both in order to be considered.Job duties include, but are not limited to:Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, anesthetic management, and completing surgical notes and charts for procedures assisted with.Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises.

May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.Whether you’re looking to just be a master of your role or trying to grow into that next career move, you’ll have opportunities through a variety of virtual and hands on, interactive training and continuing development.QualificationsWe’re looking for:A certified veterinary technician, 2+ year experience requiredLicensed individuals with a specialty in anesthesia and analgesia or a specialty in surgery would be preferred, but neither is requiredExperienced and proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoringKnowledge in pre-operative care, preparation for surgical procedures, post-operative care, and discussing continued care with clientsAbility to interpret medical records and record client history accuratelyAbility to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe mannerA high work ethic and positive attitude team memberAbility to arrive on-time and ready to workWeekend availabilityExceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate preciselyProficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skinAbility to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and testsProficient in positioning and capturing radiographsA self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillsetAbility to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiencyAdditional InformationPay Range: $20 - $28/hr. depending on level of experience.We offer our staff:Comprehensive Benefits (health, dental, vision, liability, 401k & 401K matching program, life & supplemental insurance, HSA, & FSA) Employee Assistance Program Paid Vacation and Sick Time for ALL Employees Paid Bereavement Program Paid Parental Leave Program Competitive Compensation Continuing Education Allowance (applies to licensed/registered/certified roles)Tuition Reimbursement Program Available to any AVMA Accredited Veterinary Technology ProgramCareer Development Opportunities Referral Bonus Program for most positions!

Requirements

Candidates must be a certified veterinary technician with at least 2 years of experience and proficiency in anesthesia and surgical monitoring. A high work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to handle the physical demands of a clinic environment are required.
