About the role

The Radiation Therapist delivers prescribed radiation therapy with minimal supervision and creates patient treatment schedules. They also monitor patient conditions, maintain equipment, and ensure radiation safety measures are observed.

How you’ll contribute A Radiation Therapist who excels in this role: Delivers accurately the prescribed planned course of radiation therapy with minimal supervision. Creates and executes patient treatment schedules. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition. Fabricates immobilization devices, and blocks, custom blocks, bolus, etc. Observes radiation safety measures for patient and personnel. Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment. Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and performs preventative maintenance and calibration of machines. Maintains records of daily treatment and other records as required. Simulates patients according to Radiation Oncologist’s instruction.
