Provides compassionate nursing care to outpatient surgery patients by utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include administering medications, developing patient care plans, and ensuring patient safety and experience.
Provides compassionate nursing care to patients in a clinical setting while supporting the Mercyhealth nursing mission and values. May include variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and/or on-call hours. May also float to different units based on staffing needs and clinical competency. Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN or upon hire BSN completion agreement for enrollment in an accredited BSN Completion Program.
If hired prior to 1-1-17 in Winnebago county and 9-1-15 in Rock, Walworth and McHenry County an ADN is required. May require specific years of applicable experience to qualify (per department guidelines) 12 months of RN experience required
Certification/ Licensure: Licensed as an RN in state of practice
Approved CPR certification required within 90 days (Other certification per unit
Requirements: Acls, pals, pears, nrp)
10 hours of continued education
Passing the Driver ’ s License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring). Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check. Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.
Other skills and abilities: May include color blind test (per department guidelines)
